Case Study One

"With a bespoke learning programme, Safah began to gain confidence in her abilities"

Last academic year, a young student called Safah joined our tutoring programme. After receiving some very disappointing mock exam results: Grade 3 in English Language and Grade 2 in English Literature, her confidence was rock bottom and she was feeling very futile about her impending summer exam series. Utilising a growth mind-set approach and providing Safah with a bespoke learning programme, Safah began to gain confidence in her abilities and felt empowered because she was able to see her progression unfold week on week. Amazingly, in the summer, Safah went on to secure an impressive Grade 6 across both English exam papers. Safah is now enrolled at college studying law and has a very bright future ahead of her. Well done Safah!

Case Study Two

"Callum had astonishingly made three whole grades of progress in the time that he had worked with us"

A wonderful young man called Callum, who had significant challenges with dyslexia, joined our programme. Callum’s mother was very anxious about her son, as he had struggled to have his needs met by his school. We discovered almost immediately that Callum was an exceptional student, with lots of potential. This young man had such an impressive work ethic and drive and genuinely wanted to succeed in the summer exam series. Working closely with mum and Callum, we were able to create a bespoke suite of lessons, designed to break down any barriers. Callum completed our programme, achieving a Grade 7 in Literature and a Grade 6 in English Language. Callum had astonishingly made three whole grades of progress in the time he had worked with us. He is now at university studying screen writing.

Case Study Three

"Here at Chrysalis, we pride ourselves in providing an inclusive and robust learning environment that meets the needs of every learner."

At the start of year 10, a concerned mother made contact with us regarding her daughter Holly, who has autism and a significant hearing impairment. They had suffered a negative experience with another provider, who had not managed to navigate Holly’s special educational needs – leaving them both feeling deflated and misunderstood. Here at Chrysalis, we pride ourselves in providing an inclusive and robust learning environment that meets the needs of every learner – whatever their barriers or challenges. We built a strong rapport with Holly very quickly and with the right tools found the key to unlock her potential and preferred learning style, she flourished phenomenally. Holly arrived with us on a grade 3 and left our programme successfully securing grade 6 in both English Language and Literature. Holly’s mother was ecstatic with Holly’s results and her testimonial can be found on our landing page. Holly is now thriving at Newcastle University, where she is studying maths.
